2013!!!

It is finally here!!! We have finally been ushered into the new year we all longed for. With grateful hearts, joy and dancing, we proceed into this brand new year.
A few days back, I was anxious about the end of this year. You see, I started 2012 in church where it was declared that it will be 'The Year of His (God's) glory.' This was the best news I could hear at that point, I was so in need of God's glory to be seen in my life. You see, this girl had seen a 180 degree turn from better to worse and I was ready to get back to my life-the life I was familiar with, the life I truly enjoyed-not this strange world I had been tossed into. So I held on to every word of prophecy declared through the course of the year.

Fast forward to the last week in 2012 "The Year of His Glory," as I pondered on how my year went, I felt a ting of disappointment creeping up. Disappointed because I was still not back to my "familiar life", where is the glory that was supposed to catapult me back to my fabulous life I questioned and few moments later, I received my answer.
I always think of myself as being versatile and tough but I never believed I was this tough. As the answer to my question began to play out, all I could see and feel was God's glory. He thrust me into this uncertain phase not as punishment but to teach me about myself and Him. It was Him that kept me through the days were it all seemed too much and I felt like I could not live another day. I not only survived, I did so triumphantly. I can now truthfully say God is my provider, my sufficiency, an ever present help in times of need and much more.
It is with this joy that I welcomed 2013 that has been tagged "My Year of More Than Enough", excited to experience God in His fullness this year.
You might be like me, 2012 might not have been all rosy and smooth sailing for you. It might have even pushed you to question your stand with God. I beseech you to still hold on, if you honestly take stock of your life, you will see God has a plan for you. As they say, once there is life, there is hope. God is working it out for you.
Keep the hope alive folks!
